How to get here

Beverley Festival of Christmas is located in the town centre, only a short walk from the train station and various car parks. Beverley town centre is very compact, so festive shoppers are able to visit the market and all other shops and attractions by foot.

How are you travelling?

Every year thousands of people travel to the East Riding to attend the Beverley Festival of Christmas. Car parking spaces are limited due to the sheer number of visitors therefore we recommend travelling to the town centre via Public transport or by using our Park and Ride service.

Travelling by car & road closures

Every year thousands of people travel to the East Riding to attend the Beverley Festival of Christmas. Beverley is well signposted from all major routes with the M62 leading into the heart of the East Riding of Yorkshire. We are also accessed by the major A roads from York, Hull, Leeds and Scarborough.

If you are travelling by car, please follow the road signs for the Racecourse which are located on main roads. Although car parking is available please note that spaces will be limited throughout the day.

With restricted access to the town centre due to road closures, we recommend travel via public transport or our Park and Ride. The following roads in Beverley will be closed on Sunday 10th December 2023.

Lord Roberts Road – between the junctions with Eastgate and Minster Towers access road from 09:30 hours to 10:30 hours

A section of Grayburn Lane Car Park will be designated for Blue Badge Holders but please note that spaces will be limited throughout the day.

Please follow the AA signs to the Park and Ride which are located on all main roads locally.

Capacity:
Parking for 500 cars.

Operating times:
2 buses will run between the Racecourse and the town centre.

The first bus will leave at 9am and the last bus from Beverley at 5pm.

Pick up times:
approximately every 10-15 minutes.

Pick up:
Beverley Racecourse - look for signs opposite the car park.

Drop off:
Wylies Road, Outside North Bar. Walk through the North Bar, into North Bar Within, passing St Mary’s Church, and onto Saturday Market Place (approx. 4 min walk). Volunteers will be available to assist.

Travelling by bus

Beverley Bus Station, Sow Hill Road, Beverley. HU17 8BQ (1 min walk to town centre).

Coach Parking:
